After completion of Microenterprise Investment and Kinship Demand survey in early 2020, Tanzania, just like the rest of the world was hit by COVID-19 with a huge impact on different sectors of the national economy. A component to assess the COVID-19 effect on small business enterprises was introduced in the study where the component was administered to all the MIKD participants as part of the study.
MISSR leading roles:
In this assignment, we were responsible for the following activities
- Preparation and programming electronic survey instruments (including translation)
- Hiring and training survey enumerators;
- Carrying out a piloting study, and baseline survey,
- Rolling out a intervention of cash transfer to subset of our selected sample,
- Carrying out about 4 phases of phone follow-up rounds to both treated units between August 2019 to March 2020
- Conducting data quality control and field work monitoring,
- Carrying out an endline survey, and
- Data processing and cleaning
